G5 Conventional Analog programming

Just got the G5, can anyone help me with the setup of programming a conventional analog frequency in a zone using a PL tone
and the channel has units using mdc1200
I have put P35 systems in it without any problems! Don’t see a conventional tab in PPS?

First, create the conventional frequencies on tab D2. Then create a knob position on tab D5. Receiving mode "Normal Mode", select your Conventional Frequency, Protocol Setting "CSQ", Squelch type "CTCSS". If you want to do something with the MDC1200 data, that will be a bit more involved.

This is a new toy for me as I’m so used to scanner and motorola programming..
Lastly,
Will the conventional alias show up on the screw when there is reception ?
The conventional alpha tag I assigned ?

No, but if you're using a "Monitor Mode" knob position, you'll only be receiving one frequency anyway. If you setup scanning across multiple conventional systems, the screen will show the alias for the knob position that it "lands on". I think the frequency alias is only used for programming.
