Event 4. Anyone got a clue as to what this frequency might be? In reference to a person getting run over by a boat.

It is a fairly new TG, on the Hall Co P-25 system, used for incidents at Lake Lanier. Forsyth and Gwinnett, and I think Johns Creek FD, are all on this group when working Lake special events or incidents..like swift water rescue, boating accidents. I don't know what the TGID is.

Well, if the TG is on Forsyth and Johns Creek, it won't be encrypted. Gwinnett's swift water is usually in the clear. I will have to search for it:) I do know that the DNR has Hall county radios. Another frequency/TG with which to monitor Lanier!
Thanks!

Try 5137 on Hall's DTRS. On my notes I had "event" scribbled next to it from monitoring one Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago. Also, I had 5135 noted from that same afternoon but not identified. If neither of those is "Event 4" it maybe somewhere around those numbers.

5137 is definitely Lanier related. Today Hall fire dispatched a houseboat fire call at a dock and on this TG a unit was dispatched for 'crowd control.' Heard one unit ID as "marine 21" and ask if he should come by land or water.

Heard that call while I was out today. I wish that they could make these scanners with audio record and time stamp when you're out mobile. I have had ham ht's that recorded audio:(

Interesting comms at the lake tonight. Started around 9:30pm. Searching the lake for a missing person on jet ski. Hall county Event 4 is now patched to the Forsyth county marine ops TG. DNR is on with them. Also heard mention of a South Tac by DNR. Anyone got any clues to that frequency? I have the normal T/A frequencies in multiple scanners.

To answer the original question DNR Law Enforcement on Lake Lanier are all equipped with VHF radios to access the DNR repeaters.

Try scanning these:

162.0000 is the state wide DNR talk around simplex channel. I heard them use it a lot last 4th of July on Lake Lanier.

159.60000 151.4 PL DNR Juno Juno / Lake Lanier

This repeater is located in Dawson County and can be accessed by the DNR mobiles on their boats and in their vehicles.

Yes DNR also has access to Hall County TG's.

I am sure that you meant 160.200. Which is programmed into all my scanners, commercial radios, and ham gear. I have lived for over 11 years within a mile of the lake and three miles from the dam. I have camped at various Corps of Engineer campsites all around the lake. Have always monitored the Corps and DNR. I even found out from one of the campground attendants when the Corp switched from their old frequency to the present one. From my monitoring of the different agencies surrounding the lake in the past few months, I have come across the newest combo of Forsyth, Hall, and the DNR connections. Thanks, especially, to Nunyax for the two Hall TGID's. I discovered that, Tac 4, the South Tac, DNR referred to during the search for the teenager on the jet ski was the Event 4 TG on Hall county's system. Which if you noticed in my post was patched to Forsyth county's marine OPS TG. I made note of this for others who quietly sit back and listen to all the goings on at the lake. The search for unpublished frequencies and TGID's is the fun part of the hobby for me. Listening is even more enjoyable when I can follow all aspects of the comms.
Have a great day,
Larry
