Good afternoon everyone,
So as I mentioned earlier I am a newbie to the scanner action.I have been playing around with my 996T and have been listening to various freqs.
I found a site that had a live online broadcast of the 2 talkgroups .I put the 2 into my scanner, and got no chatter.But while I was on the online site, I was hearing
talk. Any ideas what may be doing wrong?

I'd say make sure you're scanning the right site. They are on the state Marcs site, not the city of Columbus site.

If you are scanning the correct site then it could also be simulcast distortion. The feed you heard online uses an SDS200 so it will sound crystal clear most of the time.
