I live in league City and i know that league City Police went encrypted along with Texas city PD and friendswood late last year. But heard that there was more to go encrypted in the area. I have recently re-programed and weeded out areas outside of the area my SDS100 is up to date on the database but i hear very little traffic. I have tried to input my area code 77573 and do an area between 10, 20, 30, 40 miles and still crickets. Same using my GPS. I believe i have a good group of Favorites. Anyone in the area have a good list of something to try to listen to? On my ride home from work i might hear 2 or 3 transmissions usually only fire/EMS calls not much.

You might want to upload your programming and let someone take a look at it.

I just helped someone program their 996P2 that lives just outside League City and he is getting a ton of stuff from Galveston and Harris counties.

Just what cities are you trying to listen to?

I looked at your file and yes it is really stripped down compared to the one I sent you. I guess i need to work on weeding down the area I am trying to scan.

Also state agencies like DPS are clear , but during normal traffic DPS Texas City you will only here the dispatcher and not the mobiles unless there is a chase or code 3 incident the dispatcher will activate the mobile repeater game wardens are in the clear as well as state parks lately game wardens seem to be using The DPS channels more as well as the state park police so you won't hear the mobiles
