I'm hearing some amazing multi-path from Gander Radio on 8891.0 KHz USB right now at 0111z on Nov 28th 2011. Huge echo from Gander with at least a quarter second delay between initial reception and the echo.

8Megs is just crazy good into the east coast. Picking up Africa on 8894 like they are next door. Pacific is screaming in also....but that is not too unusual @ 2z

Not getting the multipath on Gander here.

Yep we get the echos quite a bit on 8891. I think Gander NAT-D has transmit sites in both eastern and north/western Canada, so we're hearing both signals. Similar to the EAM echos on the HF-GCS when multiple sites are transmitting.

Here are some recordings of Gander echos

I have heard Gander hand flights off to Anchorage Center and even wkg flights at 140W!

I'm now getting Magadan this evening here in to South Texas on 11390.0 USB. Just faintly, but Magadan definitely has that uniquely modulated transmitter that is very distinctive. Sounds almost like it requires a little bit of a wider filter on USB.
