8:30pm Multiple agencies responding to reported shots fired in area of Nordstrom in the Garden State Plaza. Paramus, and lots of other agencies and njsp on scene with tactical teams. Nothing showing at this time but heavy police presence.

State police later told CBS 2 a car fire outside the mall may actually have sparked the panic and perceptions of a shooting.
But police were searching the mall late Saturday in case there was any possible shooting victim inside.
