Went and made a visit to the Richmond area this morning; with intent to verify if this LTR system was in operation....

Had a good bit of time to run the laptop along with LTR-analyzer on each of the frequencies...

No traffic was heard, and more importantly; no "beaconing" was heard while monitoring...

Just putting it out there; if everyone would feel safe with me submitting this to be DEPRECATED...?

That FCC license was just renewed this year, to an Amateur Radio operator. Also, That license shows 3 FB freqs, versus the 6 FB freqs that the RRDB shows.

Just because someone drives to a town one time and doesn't find audio on a particular system doesn't mean that it's not in service. Maybe the system was down for maintenence at that particular time. I think more monitoring is needed to determine for sure that that system is no longer on service.

Most of us can drive thru rural Indiana, pick a farm-based frequency, and not hear anything. That doesn't mean nobody uses that freq.

For your information, I frequent Richmond quite regularly; I may reside in Ohio, but, I DO travel to Richmond area every couple of days..... in other words, I live locally....

I have ran my radios (scanners) and my laptops several times on this system using LTR Analyzer; with no signals heard, or seen, on LTR analyzer...

I can understand everyone being cautious; thats why I put it out there about "deprecating" it....

Not a noob here going on knee-jerk reaction....

I know you are a local Ohioian. Your OP doesn't say you've monitored it multiple times over a period of time. You simply said you went to Richmond, didn't hear it, and want to depreciate it.

Others people simply indicated 'yep, remove it', from the limited information you gave in the OP.

The process is not, and should not be, a one-time monitoring session, with bandwagon support. That's what this post was.....until you gave the additional information.

For others: The process should be monitor multiple times, different days of the week, different times of the day, over an extended period of time, before submitting or asking if a listing should be depreciated.

You did that, but you didn't say that, yet other immediately said depreciated it. That was my concern.
