Gas - Chemical Smell

At least 15 towns in Ocean County getting calls of gas smell or chemical smell through-out their towns, getting mixed reports where it is coming from, and if it can cause harm.

many agencies are reporting that its methane gas coming from Waretown or Manchester land fill.whole county is getting calls for odor of natural gas.

Methane gas a thick as fog? Where are we, Jupiter? Everyone would be dead.

I would suspect that the weather conditions just turned out to be perfect for this odor to travel a long distance at or near ground level.

Under the right conditions, my fire company and many others in the immediate area will begin getting dispatched to gas odor calls one after another. When this happens, some phone calls usually determine that the odors are originating from one of the refineries in SW Philly with the odors travelling up the Schuylkill River valley to our area NW of Philadelphia.
