Gas Leak

Sounds like a pretty serious gas leak in Salt Lake City.

SLC Fire 2 TGID 1216 on (AC33 system)

1423hrs: Sounds like it is in the sewer system, has reached LFL in some areas.

1435hrs: Lots of evacuations going on at the U of U, buildings all around the area. Sending them to Rice/Ecclees and the Pingry School right now.

1440hrs: Getting readings of 100% LEL by the Pingry and are now looking to send people to East High. Concerns about people driving in the area.

sounds like they continue to expand the evacuation. major saturation at great distances traveling through the sewers.

VA is possibly in the Threaten Area. That is now the Priority area for fire. Major evacuations and headache

1445Hrs: Just heard that Questar is still working on the leak. No ETA on it yet.

Rocky Mountain Power is shutting down the grid in the area. Still can not find the boundry of the gas in the sewer, getting 100% LEL (lower explosive limit) everywhere.

Well you are talking about every building that is connected to those lines is getting gas inside them and there are miles of pipe in each one of those buildings.

Im surprised that I have not heard ARES get activated with a major evac and hospital evacs as well. These are some the things they train on.
