Gaston County Gets New License Grant for PS VHF Frequencies

Gaston County just recieved a new license grant for VHF frequencies under GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY, RADIOS USED FOR PUBLIC SAFETY eligibility.

That's strange because I was told by my County counterparts that they were moving over to NC VIPER system... Or is this License grant to keep the VHF active as a backup?

That frequency is their Fire Dispatch channel I bet that's just to be kept as a paging channel/backup.
