Has anyone ever found channel 3 for the Gaston County Police? I thought I had it nailed down but apparently not. I have heard multiple units switch to channel 3 at various times but never hear them. It is not published anywhere I have ever seen.

Several different ways.

Searching the FCC database for all FB2s in Gaston County, then monitoring for traffic and tones.
Searching the UHF band when they switch over.
I run SignalStalker when I'm on the road most of the time.

Oh and probably the easiest way:
Frequency List - 911 Communications - Gaston County Government

;)

I've been able to verify most of those frequencies...I'm hoping to do some housekeeping over Thanksgiving break so look for updates in the Gaston County area when time permits.

Here in Wake County that used to be my hometown Garner PD Frequency (with a different ctcss/pl of 192.8Hz). The good ol' days of easy UHF monitoring.....

Kudos to Gaston County for having an open mind as far as their comms go.
A lot of other areas treat their frequencies as if they were top secret info :)
