I was wondering if anyone knows if GATRRS plans to open a 700/800mhz Site in the San Marcos area since the GATRRS site went down and Lockhart/Caldwell County went to LCRA replacing GATRRS.
Fentress went down when Lockhart and Luling did a swap out to LCRA so as far as I know, Fentress GATRRS is not active any moreBesides Caldwell County, which site are you saying went down?
If any more GATRRS 700/800 sites go up in the area, it would likely be a TXDOT RFSS 2 site if I had to guess.

What exactly is the Decker-Geo simulcast? Site 1-7? All I see for Creedmoor is the original 1-9 Creedmoor IR site that's been listed on here since the system went live 20 some odd years ago. I know the LCRA Creedmoor site 160-60 is there (originally 102-2) but I honestly haven't tried to tune into the GATRRS site there in a long time.Iron Mountain still around?
There is a TxDOT site in New Braunfels. Other than that, there's a site around Creedmoor that should be part of the Decker-Geo simulcast. Comal County VHF should make it to San Marcos as should the Western Region VHF sites for mobile/base applications.
What area you are interested in really depends on who you want to listen to.
Iron Mountain was the GATRRS Luling Site which is now LCRA now. Sim 7 Decker-Geo simulcast is really for Austin Police / Travis County though other agencies maybe able to access. There is another GATRRS non simulcast tower there in Austin but I believe that is primary for TXDPS Capital Police. The GATRRS Creedmoor Site does not carry Sim7 Simulcast activity. LCRA Creedmoor is rumored to be a simulcast site with a site outside of Kyle but have gotten no one to confirm or deny its LCRA. 4200 Ranch to Market Rd 150 Kyle, Tx. Yeah, someone has mentioned to me that there are potentially three simulcasts in Hays County now and that they are Hays North (Dripping Springs area), Hays South (Creedmoor/Kyle) and San Marcos, but I'm a little curious as to why 160.60 would be called "Hays South" other than the two towers are slightly further south (and east) from the confirmed North simul. Also, Creedmore's frequencies are not licensed anywhere else in the area besides that specific tower at this time. Thanks for the clarification on Decker-Geo, I thought that was what it was referred to by the SA's but I've forgotten more than I've retained.Iron Mountain was the GATRRS Luling Site which is now LCRA now.
