GATTRS Talk Group 50587

[garys]

I'm listening to radio traffic regarding a growing wildfire in the Granbury area of Hood County. It took a while to identify the landmarks and figure out where it was.
That GATTRS Talk Group is tagged as Dept. of Emergency Management Radio Techs, so it seemed odd to hear it patched there.

Thanks! I was catching some of N Texas activity this morning on the VFIRE and TX Forestry VHF freqs, but that fades out pretty soon after sunrise.

You're welcome. I have no idea how long it will last. I should probably put all of the TX DEM talk groups into my scanner, but radio techs and Special Ops are the only ones I hear active.
