was doing a freq search this afternoon with my 898t and found a very strong control channel of unknown mode. searched database but couldn't find anything. any ideas?
Yup this is correct.. its a connect plus system.. I have been watching it for a few weeks now.. no talkgroups seen yet.Spectrum Management shows a license (CFB562) for a DMR system for General Motors with the transmitter located at 900 Park Road South.
Frequencies listed on the license are (in frequency record ID order):
939.02500 MHz
939.08750 MHz
939.01250 MHz
939.06250 MHz
939.05000 MHz
939.11250 MHz
939.12500 MHz
939.07500 MHz
939.10000 MHz
939.03750 MHz
The license was just issued/effective October 1, so the system is probably in its infancy.
Strangely, the license conditions warn that it is GM's responsibility to ensure this system does not cause intra-system interference with their other systems in Ingersoll and St Catharines.
Curious... is the order I listed the freqs in, the correct LCN order?Yup this is correct.. its a connect plus system.. I have been watching it for a few weeks now.. no talkgroups seen yet.

This listing is one level down when you click the GM-Central Plant siteHow come, given that it's DMR, we are seeing only one LCN per RF channel, whereas DMR gives two...
"Real" LCNs should be 1-20 .
Some DMR systems in RR DB show the RF channel duplicated, with consecutive LCNs.

At the risk of opening up a can of worms (similar to the one I cracked open a few days ago), does this seem like a good candidate for having one RRDB entry with multiple sites in different counties?Just an FYI this system uses the same frequencies as the GM CAMI Automotive plant in Ingersoll. Same network ID, different sites. The CAMI system went live about a month ago, give or take.
I agree, they are all the same network ID.. just sites are different.. and I would not be surprised to see linked talkgroups when the system starts being used.At the risk of opening up a can of worms (similar to the one I cracked open a few days ago), does this seem like a good candidate for having one RRDB entry with multiple sites in different counties?
