Just wondering if you guys find it better scanning in open mode or closed mode, i am scanning the MPSCS system in MI, along with some of the trunked systems for detroit area,as well as the bell fleetnet zone 1, and yes they are all in seperate banks, but I also have conventional freq set in the same banks...Just curious as to which is better for scanning in "open mode" or "closed mode"...Thanks for any suggestions

Neither is better.
If you want all talkgroups - scan open. If you only want those you've programmed - scan closed.

I do closed mode if I only want to hear the talkgroups I have programmed in
and open mode if im interested in hearing anything on the air, or if its a slow night in my area.
