Yeah! There was a short blurb on the evening news tonight. It got about a 10 second spot. I was rather depressed that they didn't talk about it more. :lol:

Just a little curious, will it tie into the MPSCS system, or will it be stand alone? Is it digital or able to be covered by a trunktracker? I was a little curious havent heard too much about it yet.

It's nice to see another Genesee County person on the forum!

It is going to be a sub-system to the MPSCS. Kinda similar to what they have been working on in the city of Detroit and in Monroe County. Since it is part of the MPSCS, it will be APCO-25 Digital.

There are a quite a few posts in this forum on different topis relating to Genesee County and the trunked system. You can do a forum search to pull up the information. There also might be something in the Flint Journal Archives online at mlive.com. There were a few articles in the paper a while back on the new system. Nothing technical printed there, just overall information for the general public while they fought with people and the courts to get the sites approved.
