Geomagnetic storms and prop/skip relationships?

Is there any relationship between geomagnetic storms resulting from CMEs, and enhanced prop or skip?

I know these storms disrupt communications in general, but was wondering if part of that disruption actually results in favorable conditions for prop or skip.

Yes. Sometimes upper HF and VHF signals can reflect off of the aurora when the lower HF bands are disrupted. Here is a web site with some good propagation pages.

Related: a giant solar flare erupted yesteday, with the geomagnetic storm expected to arrive tomorrow. Also, sunspot 1158 has gone from "nothing to the size of Jupiter" in a week, according to NASA STEREO. Hopefully some good prop activity will arise.
