I have been trying to listen to GMU. I am only 1/2 mile away and used the RR download to program my PSR600.

They are all conv. channels. I get strong signal and no audio. Have they possibly changed the system? I used to listen awhile back with a basic scanner. Anyone else having this issue.

Thanks, CP

I don't have any knowledge about their communications, but would their PD be on FFX's trunked radio system? I searched their system and found TG's on under the PD listed as "Mason":

17168 431 D FCPD MS Ops1Mason Operations 1 Law Tac
17200 433 D FCPD MS Ops2Mason Operations 2 Law Tac

Don't know... but hope it helps!

Those tg's are for the Fairfax County PD Mason District which are not the the same as GMU pd.

I havent monitored them lately - could they have rebanded?

Absent of a trunk system that transmits system info on a control chanel, knowing if an agency has rebanded will have to come in good time from inside info.

I'm a former student (resident) at Mason. I just left there last May. As of then, they were on a conventional 800 MHz system. Only the one frequency was ever active. I'd sit outside on Saturday nights as I watched them bust a lot of drunk kids. Quite fun.
