Getting talkgroups I don't want.

I programmed all that I want to hear from the website listed below into my Pro-97 using Win97. I just want to hear the police and i'm hearing other things from buses and such. What do I need to do to make it so I can only hear the police?

Go into the Talkgroup ID bank and lockout the talkgroups you don't want, and then set the bank to CLOSED. To set it to closed, make sure you are in manual mode in the bank you want to close, and hit FUNC + [period button]

if your using win 97 set the bank to closed up by where you can set the bank to convintional edacs/ motorola etc

Sorry. I meant to say there are Talkgroups I don't want to hear.. not the channels..

Thats what KCChiefs was talking about, talkgroups.

If you do just as drew stated and go thru win97 to lock out the talkgroups you dont want to hear, then make sure the bank is set to closed, you will not hear any TG's that you have locked out. The bank MUST be set to closed mode or it will not work.

Actually you do not need to be in closed mode to lockout talkgroups on the PRO 97. Just lookout the groups you do not want to hear. Or you could only program the groups you would like to hear, and then place the scanner in closed mode. Both will acomplish the same thing.
