I have finally signed up to go through a class and test here. Starting Monday Nov 6th thru Dec 10 we will be in class every Monday from 6:15pm - 9:30pm. I have done some studying on my own but I do tend to learn better with explanation and example with people to talk to about it and it will let me meet some more local ham so I am excited to get started. Hopefully I will be on the air soon!

Thanks! I have been using HamTestOnline™ - Ham Radio Exam Courses and Ham Radio Practice Exams off and on to study since March. I took my first practice exam today and scored a 77%. Not bad, it was passing but I want to score better than that.

Thanks, my plan is to study an hour or so everyday and take a practice test once or twice a week on top of what we do in the class.
I take my test next Monday. I have been studying quite a bit. I have been scoring mid 80s or better on most of my practice tests. I have even scored several 100s. Hopefully I will pass and have my call next week!
I passed tech today! I took general but missed by 4. I will keep studying and take it again in January probably. My dad got his general first try.

You aren't kidding.. I have been drooling over radios for month already. I ordered a Kenwood TH-D72A last night as soon as I got home from testing.
