Getting ready to test Unidens customer service

I have a SDS100 that died almost to the day 1 year after I received it. I ordered it 11/21/19, got it delivered somewhere around 11/27/19. It died on me 11/25/20. The scanner only has a 1 year warranty. Will be curious to see how Uniden handles this concerning a warranty claim.

i wouldnt hold my breath expecting that they will fix it for free because theres no way to prove that it died just before the warrenty expired.

Just a few days after 90 repair warranty my 1st SDS100 died again after repair they said SOL sorry so I sent it to JONWIENKIE very happy.

While I can't speak to their flexibility with the warranty issue (never had to try that), I did have to send an old scanner (about 20 or so years old) for repair (weak audio) and it was a positive experience...

UPDATE:
Just received the scanner back. Uniden had to replace the control board. Kudos to Uniden for repairing the scanner and not charging me. I sent a note pleading my case that the warranty had just expired and apparently they accepted it.
