Hi -
I'm finding that getting the scanner setup in a useful manner is a bit overwhelming.
I have a Pro-96 Scanner and Win96 (Also I've subscribed the RR frequency DB).

Can anyone offer some advice on how to build a useful configuration?

One specific problem I'm having is that the radio scans to quickly. For example if there is a pause in a communication instead of waiting for a reply the scanner moves on to the next frequency - so Its nearly impossible to follow a conversation.

I live in an area of Michigan that uses digital trunking - zip code 48315.

I'm interested in my home city police department as well as the county sheriff's department but mostly agencies that handle emergency situations.

Do you have delay turned on?

There is a way you can set the delay on the Softw. not sure how off hand.

But to do it manually is pretty simple.

Go to whichever bank you have your TRS Setup in.
PGM Trunk
Func DLY
You can change it from None to 4.0 Seconds in .5 Seconds increments.

Look here, try to separate by catagories, police, first aid, fire, etc. Same with you trunked system talk groups, makes it allot simpler trying to follow things. As other poster stated set your delay longer..
