Does anyone know what the UHF repeater is in the Gettysburg area that cross-repeats 46.18? It was reliable enough to be heard on a portable inside Gettysburg Hospital. I see in the database that Gettysburg FD has a repeater but I'm not sure if this is repeating 46.18 or if it's just a tactical repeater.

The frequency is 461.900 and the license belongs to "Gettysburg Hospital". I think it is used for
their security crew and medical staff who carry hand held radios, so they are aware what is
going on. I can normally hear it on a hand held up to about 4 or 5 miles from the
hospital....

Perfect, thanks! Any idea if there is a CTCSS associated with it?

Does anyone have any info on Gettysburg FD's mobile extenders/vehicle repeaters?

Repeater/extenders

The Gettysburg Fire Department operates cross band repeaters/extenders on:

453.9875 114.8
458.9875 127.3
453.9625 103.5
458.9625 (No activity)
460.5375 189.9
460.5625 156.7
465.5375 177.3
465.5625 141.3
-----------------------
I think your the person who asked about the 461.900 operation at
the hospital. The tone is D306

So is 453.9875 as listed in the DB simply a tactical repeater for Gettysburg FD? I have never heard it in use in my travels there and was curious about its purpose.

BTW, 463.2625 is listed in the DB as a simul of 46.18 for Fairfield FD, with a PL of 162.2, if that interests you any.

All 8 repeaters I listed are tactical repeaters. I live several blocks from the fire house, and during
calls, they are used. The only channel I have never heard activity on is noted in my list....
I have no idea who attached the tag "Tac Rptr" in the data base.

I'm aware of the Fairfield operation. They also operate a second repeater on 463.9875 (162.2)

I have attempted to have the Adams County data base updated several times without success.
Much of the information listed is incorrect, especially frequencies pertaining to the National
park service (Battlefield) operations..

Greetings -

Thanks for all the info and updates. I see the database has 800 & 900 MHz frequencies now listed as simulcast for GFD and its various channels -- is there any rhyme or reason to the assignment of the UHF cross-band repeaters, i.e. when they go on a call and switch to Fire 4, am I likely to hear that on any (or all) of the UHFs?

What was attempted without success? Please send in a submission and it will be worked.

Submitted several corrections in July, which went unanswered. Two changes were submitted in the past
month and both were acted upon in a timely manner. The Adams Co data base file is correct and
current......

The UHF repeaters are actively used for fire ground operations on a random basis. At a small incident,
normally the chief will be the only user. At large incidents, many of the repeaters will be in action.

Interior attack crew, water supply, ladder truck ops, and scene command are frequently in operation
simultaneously on different repeater channels,

I was told by one of the fireman, that there is a repeater on the ladder truck, and one in the rescue. I also
see a UHF antenna on the the duty officers vehicle, so there could be as many as three repeaters. Will
confirm next time I'm in the fire station....

Future 800Mhz digital trunking system: Article in local newspaper indicates the county commissioners
approved payment to Motorola for the system study, with hopes that the system could be build and
operational by the end of 2013. (Still need financing so that schedule might be hard to obtain. Will
post any future information as it becomes available....
