I've noticed that the repeaters for GFC at least here in the southern part of the state do not transmitt the MDC-1200 burst at the end anymore. It's a beep. Does anyone know if they are making any other changes or installing new equipment? Thanks.

They are in the beginning phase of the switch to P25 like GSP. It hasn't really went that far because I have yet to see any license modifications to permit P25. Not exactly sure on the timeline but it is in the works.

Noticed the same in the southeast part, im near savannah and there's no MDC anymore but ive noticed the repeaters seem seldom used in my area compared to a few months ago. Ill do some searching and scanning to see what comes up.

GFC is replacing their repeaters with Kenwood NXDN repeaters. Try listening in NXDN mode. I know for a fact that this is happening in south Georgia. I have physically seen them.

Lots of DMR, P25, Analog and NXDN being used among differing state agencies / facilities all across Georgia.

I had someone (who I know would be familiar) that Indian Springs state park went to NXDN last year. Some YDC facilities are on DMR.
P25 isn't the only digital method used by state govt. in Georgia.
