Ghost Keys

Have you ever deleted a SITE or a SYSTEM only to have the QUICK KEY show up and you can't get rid of it? I deleted 2 sites assigned to QK 18, 19 only to have s1 show keys 8 and 9 as active and I couldn't get rid of them. Seems like ARC-XT left them there. (One thing I don't like about BUTEL software is it makes all systems ACTIVE) I had to USE FreeScan to D/L from the scanner, set all Quick Keys to OFF and it cleared the problem after I U/L it back to the scanner. Makes me crazy when a KEY shows UP as active and you try to set it to OFF to get that little BEEP telling you it wasn't a valid key.

yep...same problem. I had to reset the radio & reprogram.

Uniden would tell you if nothing is assigned to that key it wouldn't show up! lol Little do they know of the "Ghosts in the machine"
