The Gila NF will be operating a new communications configuration this year. I believe the system is already in place. Here are the new channels:
Rpt Out / Rpt In
171.1375/164.9375 Admin Net - Forest Wide, All Ranger Districts
169.9750/164.2875 Fire Net North - Quemado (D3), Glenwood (D4) and Reserve (D6) Ranger Districts
169.9000/164.1500 Fire Net South - Black Range (D2), Wilderness (D5) and Silver City (D7) Ranger Districts
This brings the Gila NF into compliance with the 2019 NTIA deadline for the federal government's VHF High new frequency allocation.
Admin Net Repeaters: Signal Peak, Jacks, Hillsboro, Black Mtn., Glenwood (Brushy) , Eagle Peak, Fox Mtn., Caballo
North Fire Net Repeaters: San Francisco Divide, Bearwallow, Eagle Peak, Fox Mtn., Luera Mtn.., Glenwood (Brushy), Mangus Mtn.
South Fire Net Repeaters: Signal Peak, Black Range. Caballo, Emory, Jacks, Lookout Mtn., Copperas, Mogollon
All into above except the repeater locations has been submitted to the database.
