Summit County ambulance called for mutual aid.

An accident with extrication and at least 2 critical pts and sounding like maybe one fatality onscene. DTRS active as well in addition to your VHF channels posted.

GILPIN COUNTY - Two cars were involved in a fatal head-on crash Monday that closed Highway 119 for at least an hour.

According to police, one person died and at least two were airlifted from the scene to St. Anthony Central Medical Center.

Police said that one vehicle had four or five people inside and the other had two. The other occupants were transported to St. Anthony Central Medical Center by ambulance with unknown injuries.

Highway 119, located near Blackhawk, was closed in both directions at Mill Road and Highway 6 for the crash investigation.

One of the victims airlifted to SAC was my father-in-law. He is in critical but stable condition at this time.

Good News

It looks at this time like he is going to pull through OK. The doctors are cautious due to his age.
Sorry I have not responded faster but I have been spending time with the wife's family.............
