Glastonbury police frequencies

Does anybody know if Glastonbury Police are still using Frequencies 856.7625 and 856.9625 because I live in East Hampton CT and used to be able to pick them up but lately I havent been hearing them.

Yes..they are still there...in fact they have a new radio system approved at great cost but will still be using those freqs...

Glastonbury police is working on a major update to their system.

1. they are moving to digital (with encyption in the new radios)
2. they are moving the voter (receive only) on top of the va hospital to the water tower
and making it a full repeater (next to the state pd)
3. adding a third repeater at apple hill
4. the fire dept is also upgrading their equpiment as well.

the last date i heard was sometime in june. i beleive their application (police dept) is still pending with the fcc.

hopefully the pd wont go full time encryption, but we will see.

as for you not hearing them anymore, the leaves are out and thats probably the culprit.

Im wondering if this is a trend going on in CT. CT is a scanner state being so small and compact. I hope our scanners don't get obsoleted too soon.

Just Heard GPD On 856.9625, So It Is up & Running, Did not Hear The Ch 2 Freq.

It Comes In Good Over Here In Eastern Ct.

One Duz Hope That They Do Not Go To Full time Encrypt Iz Correct!

Just got back from Wallingford and even picked them up on my handheld with stock antennea on RT 68 Meriden Wallingford border.

no change in frequencies as of yet. i am not sure how rebanding will affect them.
i think alarmroom could set us straight on that.
