Ah the FCC finally doing their job ! :p

This is very interesting to me as i have been wondering if or what frequency Glen cove DPW uses
I was actually told they were using a un licensed freq but on low band
Very intresting :D

AES-256 secured
At one point they changed their PL when they updated their radio system and came blasting into the old Orange County 911 Center (when they were in Chester) on 153.860.

Makes sense that they would interfere into Orange county due to the high elevation of Glen Cove
They must have reduced their power recently because i pick 153.860 up lackluster at best me being on the south shore i usually receive anything on the north shore loud and clear

450/455mhz was orginially used by news crews/choppers but i find those freqs to be seldom used lately
Im also thinking that this could be a case of "off frequency" radios
450.xxx mhz could easily receive as a "harmonic" of 451.xxx especially at close range near a relatively hi power transmitter...
