Glens Falls PD Dispatch

The dispatch room of the Glens Falls Police Department will cease to operate on Sunday January 15, 2012 and dispatch functions will be taken over by the Warren County Sheriff's Office Communications Center. The GFPD dispatchers became county employees on January 1. 2012 and have been training on the Warren County dispatch system.

Will GFPD continue to use 155.6625 or will they switch over to the 154.725 county channel?

Kevin - I haven't heard anything definitive and I haven't been home to monitor today. I have heard Warren County conducting radio tests on the GFPD repeater a couple weeks ago, so I assume they will operate on that.

GFPD is still operating on 155.6625 (110.9) and GFPD units are still calling into "801". Occasionally the Warren Co. dispatcher sounds like they are talking inside a tin can...
