Subject: Man Dies in Glider Crash

At approximately 2:15 p.m. today, Larimer County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of North County Road 7 and Aldridge Road on the report of a plane crash. Upon arrival deputies discovered a glider crashed into the side of a hill in a ravine. There was one occupant in the glider, a male in his late 70's or early 80's who was deceased.
The National Transportation Safety Board was notified and is responding. They will be the primary investigative agency to determine the cause of the crash. Larimer County Sheriff's deputies will remain at the scene until the NTSB has completed their investigation.
The Larimer County Coroner will release further information on the identity of the male and the manner and cause of death.
