Just a quick question does anybody know if the TX3600 is upgradeable to 80 channels and how I go about it. I found one on the shelf at work and if it can be setup for the 80 channels I can use it. If not i will go back to buying one.
TX3600 is programmable from 450-520MHz.
The manual claims 99 (+40 UHF CB) channels. (So is that 139 available channels?)
You would need the programming software and the programming lead.
Both of which I don't know where to get from.
You could maybe make the lead if your handy with a soldering iron and maybe have some basic electronics knowledge.
I used to have one of these when I lived in Australia - I just kept it at the 40 default UHF channels for 4WD use.
Bit fragile on the insides - corrugations on the Gibb River Rd broke a speaker wire inside it, remember fixing it with a soldering iron running off the inverter at El Questro Station. Was so chuffed that I had though to pack a soldering iron for our trip!
I had the remote head mounted in the glove box and the unit hidden under the dash.
