I was on mygmrs.com and saw a few GMRS repeaters in CT, was curious if they were still active and if anyone here had info on them, their uses, etc...

Also wondering if the GMRS 675 emergency frequency was used in CT... NH county to be specific. From what I know the 141.3 PL on GMRS675 is the national emergency repeater frequency, but I am not sure what exactly to use it for or if it is worth having programmed, at least for my area.

Speccing out a UHF portable and choosing frequencies, limited to 16 so wondering if these were worth having for my area.

GMRS repeaters are privately and individually built and / or owned. In order to use them you obviously have to be licensed. Most owners I know want you to contact them first before using their repeaters. I own a repeater though it's down right now for a future coax change and upgrade. I personally use it for my family and I around town. I therefore keep it private.
