GMRS repeaters - is there a list of them?

I am having trouble finding a list of GMRS repeaters. One reason for having such is so that I do not interfer with someone else's repeater. I know of only one repeater in the Indianapolis area. There are others, but no one knows where they are or who owns them.

The FCC no longer tracks repeaters for the GMRS service.

One other reason is that I think that GMRS repeaters would be great for farm areas. Many farmers have 450 Mhz base/mobile operations, so adding GMRS to their system would not be a big deal. The local grain elevator could act as the base for a community repeater (most who use an elevator live within 40 miles).

I know that GMRS is not as "sexy" as trunked radio but it is the "poor man's" system. And it works well in rural areas.

It has been at least five years, maybe more, that the FCC changed
to a more simplified license application. At that point they no longer
required applicants to specify the number of mobiles, fixed stations,
repeaters, and the like.

I got it. Hence the reason there is no "Map License" feature in the ULS search. But it's a start. You can get names, addresses, phone numbers and in some cases, frequency limitations from the ULS database.

Yes just like CB. It will probably go to the dump as well as the family radio. They use it in Cali. for drug's. No offense though the radios are great I own some but just another stupid fcc regulating failure.
