GMRS repeaters?

Purchased a license, just want to know how much traffic there tends to be on GMRS repeaters throughout the state.

I can broadcast using FRN or file # to ID if asked or no? HAM is specific about no priveleges until the database is updated; the FCC site is so buggy and hard to navigate that it seems very unclear to me. The main thing is done- license purchased

Legally no, you may not transmit until you receive your license call sign. It should appear in the FCC database within 24 hours since it's not a weekend.

Thanks for the info! I am a big fan of listening on the Megalink and other local freqs, cant wait til i get my HAM stuff sorted out and join in
