GO Transit - different TGIDs

I ran Unitrunker on the Metrolinx West Simulcast Tower for the evening yesterday and found a few more unknown TG's.

TG 109 although has only 1 hit came up as well as TG 604 with only 1 hit as well. But then there is TG 601 which had 50 hits on it in an 2.5 hr span.

Heard TG 310 being used.
Problem was, I was like a deer in the headlights with a new talkgroup that I didn't pay attention to the conversation other than hearing Etobicoke North,( which is spitting distance from me).

Looks like it is in the security /enf area although these were in the clear digital.

I've been hearing chatter on talkgroup 602 lately. Seems to be located in the downtown Toronto area. Doesn't sound transit related at all.

Same thing here. Noticed the TG 310 yesterday *after* the conversation. However this evening, I saw TG 310 used several times again in connection with 10-28 / 10-29s for a couple of parties, and later with a medical situation, so it seems to be a digital security TG in the clear.

Hope they are still at it after I get home from work after 4pm. I'd like to see that on Pro96com. :)

Which tower(s) were you listening to?

I've noticed that I don't hear 310 off the East Simulcast Zone. I was down towards the west today and was listening in on the West Simulcast Zone and heard 310 active. Seemed to be the same sort of calls that 301 carries. I'm wondering if they have 301 slaved to the East Zone and 310 slaved to the West Zone and they've got them patched together? Could be Security East and Security West talkgroups. Might be worth seeing if both are active at the same time by monitoring both zones at once.

Also heard TTR2 active (502) and TTR Security (212). I thought I caught a reference to USRC on 212. Since it seems to belong to the Rail Operations talkgroups, I'm wondering if it's Union Station Rail Terminal and I misheard the last letter? Somebody was calling for Security but I didn't hear a response.

On that day, it was Hillsburgh tower.

I may try the simultaneous monitoring and decoding with a BCD996XT and Pro96Com for one site and have the HomePatrol Extreme log the other and see what correlates.

I noticed 502 was active yesterday, but no sound on the HomePatrol leading me to believe it was TDMAx2.

So, I gave it a try with Hillsburgh and Toronto and they are both showing patches:

301 to 310

501 to 48

Also logged talkgroup 602 on Toronto but didn't have audio running so no idea what that is.

New GO transit talkgroups

Just heard control do an all call saying that four new talkgroups have been added to all radios remotely, Control west, Control east and I missed the others, one was Union station bus terminal or USBT? I put the scanner in search mode but I can't see new talkgroup id's yet, perhaps they are patched to west and east ops, I am not sure but I am sure the people here with the analyzing software will see what's new.

One of them was 109 identified as Control West.

No new P25 Phase II so far.

Maybe that's the new north control talk group, I heard in the announcement a new west and east control talk group and then they mentioned two others but I didn't hear specifically, hard to figure out as GO patches a lot.

As you were typing your message, I was editing mine. I heard it identified as Control West.

I'm wondering if we will see 407 West and 407 East talkgroups as well.

Not yet, I think they left the ops channels as is but added control channels for now so with there is a situation control can talk to the buses on control west and normal coms can continue on west ops.

I think they are all patched during normal times as I am not seeing anything new on the scanner even in search mode and right after I hear someone being told to go to the new channels.
