What is the point of having all of these frequencies, for such little talk groups? What a waste of money.
The original idea was based on a "If we build it, they will come" theory that never panned out. The idea was that Goffstown, Weare and New Boston would all join the system and everyone would have separate talkgroups. After they bought it, they found out (or finally asked) Weare and NB had no interest. For awhile, FD had a Dispatch and two Fireground Talkgroups. The Dispatch was simulcast on 158.880. GFD is no longer on the system and I heard a rumor DPW was going to occupy the old GPD 155.190 frequency.
GFD "may" have talkgroups still in service for chit-chat if the radios are still in the trucks.
The frequencies are an assortment of PF (170.150) and some others including, as said railroad. However Railroad frequencies assigned elsewhere in NH is not uncommon. Check out the licenses for PSNH.
