Congrats cress!]In my area we've got a minority showing of younger hams. Look around enough and you'll run into that crowd. It doesn't mean the old guys are boring to talk to though! Many, many years of experience are a microphone away for the asking.

When I first got my Tech ticket in 2001, I was the youngest in my local club.

I'm now third...and the youngest has both a higher DXCC count and much faster CW speed than I do :p

When I got licensed in 96 I was 14 and found my way onto a local young ham list of people under 18 in the area. It was great to meet truly young hams.

I guess at this point today, I would generalize a younger ham as someone under 40!

Cress, got a callsign yet? I remember the excitement and calling the fcc everyday. By the day the woman finally told me my call, I had the number memorized.
