Well I just moved here about 3 weeks ago from small town Prince Albert Saskatchewan and am excited to see what is scan-able here in Calgary. I haven't had internet up until today so with the little net I could "borrow" through out town I've just been reading about possible places to purchase scanners. Went to NTF and found out digital scanners are $800 there, they had a used one on consignment but being that I just moved here and still trying to find a job, that purchase was a bit outta reach. It's good to know that I'm finally in a city that has other scanner enthusiasts here as well. So with that being said, I've got my trusty ol' 246T and am curious to what is worth listening to out here and want to know if any of you can help me out. I took a look at the database and realized that I've got my work cut out for me, not only will I have to clear out the old Saskatchewan banks to make room but I'll have to stretch my fingers cause my programming cable is still packed up somewhere, oh well. Being that its so close to my house I've recently found interest in going to that parking lot beside the airport (just off of McKnight) and turning on the scanner watching the planes take off and land while listening to the radio chatter. Anyway whats interesting to listen to and who all is in Calgary or close to here? Calgary roll call!!
