Howdy, I ought to know this but are there any suggestions out there as to a few Mil-Air frequencies to tune within the Tidewater, VA area? Have Chambers field programmed and am going to also plug-in some GIANTKILLER freq's. Am inland just a bit, near the Great Dismal Swamp. I expect the Dare Bombing range is too far south and some of the warning areas off shore are a bit too far east.

Thoughts?

Plug them all in, you’ll be surprised how far you can hear an airplane that’s flying 10000+ ft off the ground. I live in Johnston Co, NC and can hear traffic from Dare with an attic antenna.

You've got the radios, Chuck, but what about the antenna and feedline? Those can and do make all the difference...Mike

We also have 2 0r 3 air refueling tracks over us. Google (or Bing or whatever)....
"dod conus air refueling charts" for the entry/exit/primary/secondary frequencies. I hear them often. Also program in the boom frequency, I think it is 268.8 or 268.9. Also try "AR-636 238.900/319.700 -- 1FW Langley AFB -- Washington ARTCC/Giant Killer". Good luck.
