Daily Herald | Man accused of impersonating firefighter in Lake County incident
This is a little off-topic to scanning, but this gentlean was arrested by Lake County Police. He had numerous radios, scanners, uniforms etc. in his vehicle. This has "possibly" resolved many other impersonating a police officer cases throughout this area. People like this seek out information from all kinds of sources...rather he reads it from blogs, stops by firehouses, talks to police officers...you just never know who has evil intent. This puts a black eye on the scanning hobby in general and I must say excellent work by the officers involved !
