Got my BC246T!!!!

Got my Scanner today and boy is it complicated for a guy that has never owned one. I was having heck getting a trunk setup for Moore so I cheated and used ARC 246 and downloaded the info. from RR and now it is working. YEAAAA but, I've got questions.

I want to "only" scan my Moore TalkGroups and that is the way it looks but I"m picking up OHP and MWC, and even Shawnee too. Is Lockout the way to block them or is there a way to only scan the certain TGIDS?

After you have the system set up you can assign Moore, Midwest City, Ohp their own quick key under that system then can turn on and off the ones you want. Example only want to listen to Moore then can turn that quick key one under that system. Hope this helps

Thanks! That actually didn't fix my problem but explained another one.

My other issue was I had the radio set to ID SEARCH so it was picking up much more then my TG's that I had programmed. I put it on ID SCAN and now I'm good. THANKS

I was just about to suggest that. Glad you figured it out on your own. Congrats on the new radio. ID SEARCH lets you hear any talkgroup active on the system (one at a time). If a TG matches one that has an alpha tag, you'll see the tag, too. ID SCAN, as you've figured out, means you only hear the TGs you've entered.

I assume you put in the info for Site 8 (simulcast on the Moore tower and another up near Edmond). You might also want to put in Site 40 (Norman) if you want more coverage of Cleveland Co SO and especially if you want to listen to Norman (like on a football gameday).

Actually did get those couple in and a couple more for grins. It is fun playing around. I added OKC streets so I could hear the sand trucks and their ended up not being a need for them. Owell maybe next time. Right now I've been listening to OHP on the Turner. Sounds like there having a crappy day near Stroud.
