Congrats on passing your exam! Also keep in mind over on QRZ Forums, your callsign will be fed through to QRZ Callsign database via FCC ULS database it normally takes up to 24hrs to 48hrs to show up in the database.

Not bad. Now you get to start thinking of 'custom' phonetics for it. How about "King Kong 4"...and then whatever you think you can get away with? I had 'KAT', "Kiss And Tell", for a while, then 'AN', "Awful Nasty", too. Using those kind of phonetics isn't recommended, but they do help remembering call signs. They don't have to 'make sense'...

It can take as little as one day or as much as two weeks. When searching the ULS I suggest using the Advanced search for Amateur radio and searching your zip code and last name. If you go to the ULS and search on your name it's far to unwieldy to deal with; also you may not find yourself.

You want to go here:
License Search - Amateur License Search

And put your ZIP and last name in and search for "active" instead of All, though you can search for all too.

Quick Question Sub...How long did it take before you were in the FCC Database? So far I'm not there ...yet...LOL

Hello KK4LOC this is KK4LOD, good to have you aboard. I'm on the 147.075 (PL 110.9 -) or 146.670 (PL 110.9 -) repeaters if you're ever out there. I've been using echolink on my phone a lot lately too, great little program you can find me on the Breakfast net around 7am).

It's KK4LOC

Hey Michael,
I took the test on Saturday and the call sign was in the FCC database on Wednesday morning. I would call them if it has been more than 2 weeks.
Good luck,
