Got my Tech license.

As per the subject heading..I recently *well about a month ago* received my Technician class license. I've been busy trying to find f/t work that I haven't really been able to post (or read here.)


That being said.. I did join two local Amateur Radio clubs (and both clubs are extremely welcoming to newbies such as myself.)

Also I've been tinkering around with APRS (via aprsdroid , a b-tech aprs cable and a uv-5r.)

Congratulations on becoming an amateur. Joining a club is definitely a good step, mingle with the members and get some valuable information. Participate in club activities too. Have a great time with a great hobby.

As doctor795 says try out Echolink,Irlp,DMR,Allstar,D-star,Wires-x,Hamsats dont let other hams tell you that being a tech is boring techs have a lot to keep them busy and most of all have fun...
