You'll see this a lot on public surplus dot com.

Either property evidence forfeiture, case seizure, lost or stolen property never reclaimed.

Sometimes officers who use purchase orders and buy them in rural to small towns throw their old ones in a lot auction of stuff.

Either way be sure to keep your copy of the receipt once bought as the serial and vin from these auctions may still be entered as that departments property, or never cleared administration wise from any records as resold in auction etc. It's nice to attach a copy to the other buyer after you so they have a easier dealing if a issue came up later. Seen it happen before.

I ran across this but don't live near Baltimore.

The current bidder probably wants the mt1000 over anything else for parts or restore.

Seen collectors buy up old astro sabres in past auctions we had to other older equipment.

Usually thrown together on a pallet with computer stuff or other radio gear or old fire and law enforcement junk.
