DENVER - Governor Bill Owens has directed state agencies to fly flags at half-staff on Monday, September 11, 2006, in remembrance of the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
"The vicious and cowardly terrorist acts of September 11 forever changed the face of our country and, indeed, the entire world," said the Governor. "I encourage all Coloradans to fly flags at half-staff on Monday to honor the victims of that day, as well as the thousands of troops around the world serving to suppress the terrorist threat so our great nation can remain secure."
