Wow! Just got mine today (almost didn't ....UPS delivered to my next door neighbor's back porch....whew). Anyways.....this tiny hand held is ultra sensitive. In downstairs living room with the extension wire antenna attached and picking up two Hams on LSB on 7.154Khz and they are booming through the speaker. I'm in southern Indiana and one of the guys is in North Carolina and the other guy is in upper Northeastern U.S. somewhere. AM stations, FM stations, Shortwave broadcasts all coming in incredibly well and I'm not even in an elevated (upstairs bedroom) yet. Just amazing little radio. Very cool

That's great to hear. I have one on order, should be here Friday.

Already have a Tecsun PL-660, but for the price on the GP-5, I couldn't pass it up.

Enjoy.

Compare

Please let me know your take on the pluses and minuses of each radio. Primarily sensitivity. The ability to pull in those weak distant stations. I'm getting a Saegan 1880 soon and will compare the two myself obviously. 👌
