GPS Controlled Scanner Banks

When I am on the road (and a lot of it) I am constantly turning on and off banks on my scanner as I drive to different areas.

Now for the question, is there a way to have some software and my GPS turn on and off banks as you drive to different areas.

Maybe a patch for ARC250 to read the GPS.

It could be written. I don't know of a program that will do it at this moment. But I bet someone could write a program to do as you described.

Yup and when the big boys come out with all those banks it would all most be mandatory. Like the BCD396T

Ok the truck's pretty nice but my opinion theres to many extras that were installed.Honestly if you were to go do some heavy duty off roading there are to many things that can cause you to be on a tow truck or even get a tow truck to pull you out somewhere.Now I know everyone has there own opinion but for me that is way to much stuff,not due to lack of money but for 1.you better have a separate insurance for all the electronics because a standard insurance will NOT cover what you have in there.2.You went overboard on the 4x4 area leaving alot of things to be snapped in half like a twig.It is a nice setup but for functionality I give you a 6 out of 10.Please dont flame, it's just my .02. Oh by the way, I just took my ford expedition out with my nephew who has a K-5 blazer with a lift kit and all that and I kept up with him every area he went including climbing some hills he could not due to his carburetor not getting gas :lol:

Well whatever, my truck is 3 years and 8 months old with over130,000 miles and never seen a tow truck but I have pulled several other trucks out of there problems. Also my electronics and PC have 130,000 miles and no problems there either.

Bottom line if something does brake now I think I got my moneys worth.

Question..Where can I find one of those switch units you've got on the gear shift? Much cleaner than the crappy switches in my wheelchair van.

Chuck,I wasn't saying your truck sucks but rather more of a reply like this,If I had all that stuff on a truck like yours,the very first day I took it off road the shocks would break,the air bottle would get a hole jabbed in it, I would have 2 flats, my radio wouldnt be able to call for help,BUT The one good thing is I could watch my favorite movie on that awesome screen you have mounted in the middle Oh BTW you have 130,000 miles on your truck?Has anything major gone bad in that time?That is true you having your moneys worth.Keep it raised and dont look back :!:

I have only used the tag as a thanks when someone lets me over in traffic or a nice unit pulls up behind me.
