I am thinking of purchasing either a Uniden HP-2 or 436 that I would like to use while traveling. I only have one power connection in my car and would like to use a full featured GPS with an output that sends data to the scanner. Other than the little Garmin GPS unit that is being marketed to connect to scanners, are there any full-featured GPS units that would work?

You would need to find a gps that can output serial data, and also have the fairly proprietary connection to the scanner.

I have two. Both are puck gps units. One by Garmin and the Uniden one. Had to buy adaptor to connect to the radio.

Most full featured car gps units do not have a serial data output.
