The gps was working just fine programing on the fly as it should..i did a firmware update and now the gps doesnt work the gps indicator doeant even show on bottom of screen.....is there a factory reset that can be done to maye see if it comes back

Use the "Clear User Data" function.... from the Sentinel top menu, click "scanner, then "clear user data"
Firmware update? What firmware did you load? Hasn't been an update for 3 or so years.
Did you reset the serial port to 9600?
If the GPS icon isn't there, the GPS isn't communicating with the radio. Doubtful it's a firmware problem - you'd probably have other major issues as well...
Which means only a few things. Mainly, is it physically connected (plugs firmly in and cords all intact)
Remote chance that a pin is bent.
Or, it is the settings that are not right.
Why not check the settings first?
The 200 uses 9600...

Ty ty that was it i set it to 9600 and boom the gps popped up on screen like before
Never did an update from purchase was still factory so now it is up to date and yes gps now working it was a setting wasnt on 9600
Make sure it is set to 9600 in your profile too.
(Or read from the radio before doing anything...)
If it isn't changed to 9600 and you write to the radio, it will change it.
